Wabi Sabi is really cute inside I loved the vibe of the place. I was feeling pretty hungry And needed sushi to put in my face! I tried a few specialty rolls The Crazy Yorkie tasted strange I tried just eating the shrimp Till I saw it still had the veins! I figured the Wabi Sabi roll Must be good, it's their namesake But the "marinated filet" on top Gave me a tummy ache. They were oversauced And not that great. I kinda regret The few pieces I ate. I only came here Since Mike's sushi was closed I learned my lesson So now I know.

Fast food sushi. I'm not really into fried sushi rolls and was disappointed in the lack of rolls that didn't included part of them being fried.

Came in for the weekend and read some of the reviews and was excited to try it out. Ordered the Godzilla roll...all rice, suppose to have spicy tuna and the server says, "it's in there, the brown stuff". Don't ever go there!!!!

Nice and clean with great prices! The onion soup was AMAZING! Tab was under $50 for 2 of us - 4 regular rolls and 1 specialty roll, soups, salads and a few beers. The rolls were very good but the beers weren't very cold. It was a Sat afternoon and we were only 1 of the 2 tables but the service for the sushi was very fast. If we lived in that area I could see going there at least once or twice a month. Don't be fooled by the photos - it wasn't that glamorous (they must have taken for a special event). Pretty misleading for the expected experience - regular rolls were served on regular dinner plates. Still an enjoyable meal!

Stopped at this place yesterday for some take away and thought it was pretty good. The place is small inside, but done nicely and looked clean. The prices are reasonable and they've got some interesting looking rolls. I got the teriyaki chicken dinner and a snow crab salad roll. The roll was very tasty and had a bit of spice to it which I enjoyed. The chicken was decent, but the pieces were cut small and I had some fat on them. The flavor though was nice. I'll definitely go again especially with it being only just over a mike away from where I live. I fear for it a little bit though as it is tucked away in the small strip off US19. When I went in around 4:30 it was dead and I actually stood there a minute before someone came out from the back. As a note a sign advises they deliver although not sure of the radius of that service.

My mom and I ate here because it was the only place open at 3pm when i was craving sushi. Sushi was great and you honestly can't beat the price! Had 3 (full sized) rolls and a soup for $12. Talked with the owner the entire time. Nice guy, very friendly. They just opened up and deserve all the success that I'm sure will come their way. Will definitely be back!

First meal here and everything was great. Service was exceptional as well as the food. The concept is similar to a Panera Bread. You order at the register and the food is brought out to you. It's a small menu with about 10 different rolls and sushi/sashimi. There are also appetizers and salads. The beverages are Coke products, beer and sake. They also deliver if you're in the area.

We've eaten here 4 times now and enjoyed sashimi, nigiri, tuna tataki, and a few of their rolls. Everything has always been fresh. The location is convenient and it's our new favorite spot for sashimi and sushi in the Dunedin, Palm Harbor, and Tarpon Springs area. They offer a happy hour with 20% off on liquor and specialty rolls until about 7 pm.

So I would give this place a 2.5 starts. This place is average at best. The staff is friendly and the seating is ok. I tried one of their specials called a heart attack (not really sure why it's called that). It is their version of a jalapeño popper, a pepper sliced lengthwise and filled with cream cheese, spicy tuna and crab, lightly battered and fried. If you can eat jalapeño poppers, you can easily eat this without having a heart attack. It was interesting but I could not taste the tuna or crab. I got seaweed salad, the seaweed was put over lettuce, I hate when places do this. The specialty rolls were disappointing, over 90% of them contained cream cheese. I like cream cheese on bagels but not in my sushi. The entire reason for enjoying sushi is to experience the taste of fresh fish and the other ingredients that compliment it's taste, not too much sauce and definitely not cream cheese. I was told by a Japanese sushi chef that most places that make sushi this way are not Japanese and they do it to please the American palate as well as to mask any inadequacies of the roll. I found a couple of rolls that did not contain cream cheese which I ordered. The sushi was not packed properly, felt very loose and I was afraid it was going to fall apart when I picked up each piece. Rice to fish ratio was rice heavy, lots of sauce on top and the spider roll had over-battered crab. All in all I was not impressed. Won't be coming back.

Just tried this place for the first time and the sushi was so fresh! I had the Japanese Bagel, Volcano, Spicy Tuna and snow crab rolls split between two people. We ate every last piece, it was that good.

I really wanted to love this place it's so close to my house and they are fast. I went about 5 times before I gave up. The first time was great I got the wabi sabi rolls which are crab fried in egg rolls and a few specialty rolls. Everything I got was cooked very important to point that out. Next time cucumber salad which was delicious the rolls and a few other things still all cooked. Oh I got soup the third time and cucumber salad man I love that stuff. The fourth time I finally had the balls to get something raw that was the end of my love affair with this place . My husband wanted the egg rolls one more time so I gave in. That night with cramps in my stomach I said goodbye to wabi sabi.

My husband and I were just visiting the area from out of state and were craving sushi...we stumbled upon this place and are so grateful! The food was delicious & prepared right in front of us at the sushi bar, the price was great, and the service was amazing! People were coming in and seemed to have quite the positive relationship with owners and staff. It is always great to see regulars at local finds like this. Thank you for the fabulous experience!

I stumbled across this little hole in the wall today on the way to get my hair cut. I'm always looking out for sushi places to take the husbeast. So when I got home, I told the Husband where we were going for dinner and he perked up. I just hoped that they had something I could eat. We arrived and they weren't too busy, but the first thing I noted was that the place was CLEAN. Nothing was out of order, everything was spic and span, and there was absolutely NO fishy odor. This was a huge plus for me. We were told to sit where ever we wanted, so we chose a place across from the sushi bar, and watched the Sushi master at work, rolling for the other patrons. The waitress came over and asked us what we wanted, I opted for one of the nonfish options, which actually even comes with Sushi.. The Teriyaki beef dinner (comes with House salad, rice, fruit, goyza and half a California roll) and The husband chose a Wabi Sabi Deal (pick 3 rolls and a soup) plus an additional Dragon Roll. We also ordered edamame & drinks. All of this came out to be about $40. The food was absolutely fantastic. My dinner, in particular, was very tasty. I've never had teriyaki that tasted so tender and good. The goyza (think pot sticker) was tasty, and the california roll was actually really good! The husbeast said he loved his sushi. I even ate part of his! Well, truth be told, he made me eat some, one of them, the Tampa roll, was made with chicken. This little place is a gem. They're new in town and they're gonna be hopping. Get in now while they're not packed to the walls. Once the bar down the plaza opens, he plans on staying open late so that he can fulfill hungry bar goers needs. The owner also said he was thinking about making Sunday a $1 sushi roll day and plans on having a happy hour from 4-7 or 4-6 very shortly. These changes will be very welcome! We plan on being very regular customers there!

Ate here for the first time, close to home, I like to support local privately owned businesses, I ended up in the ER 2 days later with an extreme intestinal bacterial infection, the gastroenterologist said the bacterial infection was common to bad seafood, after CAT scans, blood work, missing 3 days of work and being put on 2 strong antibiotics, Cypro 500 mil and Flagyl 500 mil for 10 days, it ended up being quit expensive, oh and hydrocodone for pain and I don't normally take pain meds. needless to say, I would not recommend

My family loved this place, would go back in a heart beat when in the area again. I got sushi, and my mom got habachi chicken which were both so good. My 2 year old son loved the way his meal came out, which was the Crabby Roll, tiny imitation crab maki with a glowing cube in the center of his plate. Normally he doesn't dive in unless it's chicken tender's and fries, hot dogs, green beans, or a peanut butter sandwich. So I was happy I didn't have to convince him to try something he isn't used to eating all the time.

I'm astounded by the dismal experience we had compared to these rave reviews. I even took steps to confirm that we were indeed in the right place. It seems we were - based on address and name. We tried this place based on reviews but we won't be back. Everything was so salty - and slightly below average. Yes - it was cheap. That much was true. On top of the disappointing food, our service was terrible. She was singing and humming along with the Top Hits music blaring from speakers while the TV was on BayNews9. It was just a terrible meal all around.

I actually stopped by Wabi Sabi because I found it on Yelp! The wife and I sat down at the bar and got to chatting while we were waiting to be served. During certain times they have specials on some of the rolls and this can save you some coin. The gentleman akin the sushi is actually is the owner and according to my wife probably the most talkative and nicest sushi chef we have encountered. The place is a bit on the smaller side but is very clean. We ordered a fews different rolls and the general consensus was that the more expensive rolls are definitely worth the added price. The owner also told us while we were talking with him that when the bar down at the end of the center opens up he will be staying open late to accommodate patrons. Overall we were really happy with out experience here and we will be going back.

Best sushi in Pinellas, I have tried it all. The rice is perfectly cooked, and the fish is incredibly fresh tasting. The atmosphere is very casual and comfortable. They will customize rolls for you, any way you ask for it. The Godzilla roll is awesome! I highly recommend this place!

Surprised by good sushi and good prices. Not the best location, but don't let it fool you...good food anyway! Staff was friendly and fast with service. We enjoyed our dinner.

I love this place. I tried Wabi Sabi for the first time about two weeks ago, and have been back four times since then. The rolls are amazing and well-priced. The atmosphere is modern, hip, and relaxed. I have never been a fan of fusion-style sushi, but this place has changed my mind. They combine fish in ways that make the flavors stimulating. They don't over sauce their rolls. They use just enough "other stuff" to bring out the flavor of the fish. I would not call myself a sushi snob, I think good food should be accessible and high quality. Wabi Sabi delivers just that.
